I transitioned within different points of view / camera perspective.
The story followed the eye of the central character, outside vantage, and also depicted the feelings within at times. The tone stayed relatively consistent. Mood, blues and greys (cool), and much was silhouette.
The theme of acceptance, in this case was something difficult not being able to be changed, but lived with. Music guided transitions (water, driving, statue, seeing the cross). Solitude being an transition as well as part of acceptance.

This is thoughtful work. I am especially drawn to the first image and the last. Your color palette fits the emotion nicely. The shadow from the cross has beautiful framing. The weakest link in the series is the books at the end of the bed. I think we are too distant from the content or perhaps the angle needs to be lower. i am not connecting with the feeling in this frame.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed your video, i think the emotion was very clear. The music also fit nicely with your images.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed the way in which you conveyed that this acceptance is more a journey than just one cut and dry, simple thing.
ReplyDeleteI like how in some of your shots (the picture of the baby) you start with the camera out of focus then it comes into focus and we can then tell what we are looking at. I think by doing this you helped to slow the video down and it makes the viewer wonder what they are looking at before they can see it.
